Size and Use Guidelines
Any usage smaller than 1.5" (1 1/2") must be pre-approved by the Kentucky Department of Travel.
Print Ads Smaller Than 1/2 Page

For print ads smaller than 1/2 page, the Brand should always be used for optimum legibility and should never be less than 1.5" (1 1/2") wide as shown.
Print Ads 1/2 Page & Larger

For print ads 1/2 page and larger, the Brand should always be used for optimum legibility and should never be less than 2.0" (2") wide as shown.
Collateral Brand Usage for Tourism Marketing Incentive Program
(Tourism publications, Videos, CDs and DVDs, etc.)

Each collateral piece is different, but the Brand should always be sized for optimum legibility. 2.25" (2 1/4") is the preferred minimum size for most collateral pieces. However, if the design doesn't allow this proportion, the Brand must never, for any instance, fall below 1.5" (1 1/2"). Maximum size possible is preferred.
Classified, Brochure and Size Restricted Ads Brand Usage
(Tourism Marketing Incentive Program)
If the ad is a classified ad, a brochure ad, or if size restrictions of the ad would cause the Brand to overpower or consume a disproportionate amount of space while using the minimum 1.5" Brand with in the ad, then "Kentucky Unbridled Spirit" must be typeset in bold on the bottom of the ad.
If there is any question regarding an ad's eligibility relative to this category, prior approval by the Department of Travel is recommended.
Co-op Advertising
This requirement is for ads that are a part of the Department of Travel’s Co-op Plan and tourism industry member co-ops utilizing the Tourism Marketing Incentive program. The Brand is not required in individual ads as long as those ads are on a page where The Brand already appears. This brand must be no smaller than 1.5" (1 1/2").
For double truck ads (both pages side-by-side, facing front), the Brand is required once. If one page follows another (front/back), the brand is required on both pages.
All tourism industry co-ops must have creative approval PRIOR to publication of the ad.
State Guide Advertising
Effective immediately, the Brand will not be required on tourism-related ads in the official State Visitors Guide. This rule applies to all guides developed by the Kentucky Department of Travel in which advertising is sold.
