Fall is just beginning at Mammoth Cave National Park. The gum trees and dogwoods are the first to show color, just a bit of red here and there in the woods.
September 28 is National Public Lands Day, recognizing the value of all the city, county, state and federal parks and forests that belong to the people. At Mammoth Cave, there will be free Mammoth Passage cave tours, mini-talks, a volunteer work day on the trails, and the annual Walk in the Park oganized by the Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park.
Get out and enjoy your public lands!
