The lake is in great shape and the leaves around the lake are finally beginning to get some color between the Burnside, Lee’s Ford, Mill Springs and Conley Bottom areas. The dogwoods and winged sumacs are holding their maroon and bright red colors, maples are beginning to turn deep yellow, orange and bright red, gums are getting a deeper crimson and hickories and sycamores are turning a muted yellow. Everyday there is more color appearing along the shores of the lake and in the hills surrounding the lake.
