Autumn color is on the way!  Season opening conditions are favorable for good development of fall color displays as southeast Kentucky enjoys ample moisture and seasonably cool evening temperatures.  Rapid-paced color change is underway with the brightest reds at this time found among the sweetgum, sumac, dogwood, and sourwood.  Overall the color change is currently at 5-10%.
